DESCRIPTION:Join Augusta & the Elkins Barn Dance Collective for a concert and dance with the Mudlarks, ( https://the-mudlarks.com/ ) a versatile band from Fairmont and Morgantown, WV.\n\n\nThe bandleaders Ryan Kurczak and Claire Sweeny, play fiddle, guitar, mandolin, hurdy gurdy and Nyckelharpa. Their music ranges from Irish to Scandinavian to French to original music and more. In their words, “our music offers a combination of mixed time  signatures, traditional Celtic tunes, original Hurdy Gurdy and Nyckelharpa compositions, and howling arrangements to incite despair,  joy, and celebration.” For this concert, Ryan and Clare are joined by Cal Stroud on flute and Val Mindel on fiddle. It will be an amazing evening!\n\n\nThe concert will take place at 6pm, with the ceilidh (think: Irish square dancing! Simple dances, big fun!) following at 7pm. Calling for the ceilidh by Mike Miller.\n\n\n\n\nDate: Thursday, April 25, 2024\nAdmission: Tickets sold at the door. Suggested admission for the concert is $15 (which also gets you into the dance). The dance alone is $10 for general admission, $5 for Americorps/Seniors/Fixed Income.\nLocation: Big Timber Brewing Company, 2 Davis Ave, Elkins, WV 26241\nSchedule: Concert at 6:00 pm; Ceilidh to follow ~7:00-10:00 pm.\n\n \nCheck out the Mud Larks!
