Augusta Scholarship Fund
Help others access transformative arts experiences.
At Augusta Heritage Center, we believe that traditional music, dance, and craft grow strongest when everyone has a chance to participate. Our Scholarship Fund ensures that cost is never the barrier that keeps someone from learning, connecting, or passing it on.
Opening the Door to Transformative Experiences
Each year, students of all ages and skill levels, from young musicians to retirees, apply for support to participate in Augusta’s workshops and programs. Scholarships are awarded based on financial need and make it possible for participants to:
- Study with master artists
- Join a community that shares and celebrates tradition
- Build skills that ripple outward into classrooms, jam circles, and hometown communities
- Experience the deep personal and artistic transformation that Augusta is known for
When you give, you help someone take a step that might change the course of their life and the life of their community.
A Broad Community, Supported by You
Our scholarship recipients come from across Appalachia and beyond. A young student discovering their first old-time tune, someone wishing to improve themselves by learning a traditional craft, or someone looking for a pathway to learn about what they love. No matter who they are, your generosity helps them grow and helps keep the tradition vibrant.
Every scholarship creates a chain of impact: students return home and share tunes, dances, and stories with neighbors, classmates, and friends. This is the heart of Augusta’s mission: learning, growing, and passing it on.
