Fall 2024 Season!
The Voices of Augusta, now in its 3rd season, is an exciting new choir program for singers in 1st through 6th grade. Singers will experience the joy of singing in a group while learning musical traditions from Appalachia and around the world, improving their musicianship, and having fun with their friends. The choir will be co-directed by Olivia Perske and Kaitlin Exline.
Rehearsal schedule: The choir will meet on Tuesdays, 4:30-5:30 pm from September 3 through December 3, 2024 , with a concert on Friday, December 6, 2024. Choir will not meet when Randolph County Schools are out of session (Thanksgiving Break) or during Forest Festival (October 1) and we will be in touch with parents regarding snow days. All of the grades will sing together, with breakout sectionals so that the 1st-3rd grades and 4th-6th grades can work on different skills.
The first two rehearsals will be open (parents welcome to attend and listen), while the rest of the season’s rehearsals will be closed so that the students can focus on the music.
Rehearsal Location: The NEW Augusta Heritage Center (downtown). 21 3rd Street, Elkins, WV 26241
Scholarships are available for students in need, which can reduce the cost from $120 for the season to as low as $40, depending on the family’s need.
