Ben Hawker and Ginny Hawker Interview: How Ben learned to sing, forming a band when he was younger, growing up in Virginia, listening to the black people around him when he was younger to learn how to sing, listening to BB King, Ray Charles, and other artists, practicing alone, singing in the car, how he got his feeling for harmony singing without training, singing with different groups in the church and with his son, how Ginny learned how to sing, inspiration to play music and being taught the chord structures, Ginny playing by ear, singing and learning with her sister Carolyn, and Ginny moving to West Virginia.
