Banjo | Bennett Sullivan | Intermediate/Advanced | Period 3 | Week 5 (August 3-7. 2026)
This intermediate/advanced banjo class will focus on building strong musical foundations, including improving your timing, developing solid bluegrass backup, and mastering melody. Students will also get started with single-string style, gaining tools to expand melodic possibilities and technical flexibility. Designed for players ready to strengthen core skills while continuing to grow stylistically, the class emphasizes practical techniques that translate directly to jams and ensemble playing.
About the Instructor
Bennett Sullivan is an in-demand banjo player, educator, session musician, and composer whose performed alongside Steve Martin, Martin Short, Billy Strings, Del McCoury, Sam Bush, Bela Fleck, Tony Trischka, Ben Sollee, Woody Platt, Shannon Whitworth, Weird Al Yankovic, Elle King, Balsam Range, Darren Nicholson, The Falco Brothers, John Sebastian, Maria Muldaur, Geoff Muldaur, Jim Kweskin, and many more.
