Bluegrass & Vocal Week (Summer Heritage Workshops 2025)

July 13-18, 2025

On the campus of Davis & Elkins College

Come find out why the International Bluegrass Music Association named Augusta “Event of the Year” in 2019. This week, you can choose from daytime classes offered in Bluegrass music (every instrument plus vocals) and Vocal music in a diverse range of styles—from solo and duet-singing to choral soundscapes.  You have the freedom to create the perfect schedule for yourself from the offerings in both those genres. In addition, you can enjoy everything the week has to offer in the evenings, including concerts, dances, jams and more.  With bluegrass advisor Ira Gitlin and Vocal advisor Flawn Williams at the helm, this is sure to be an unforgettable week of music.

Folk Arts for Kids will give participants (ages 5 to 11) a chance to explore craft, nature, music and dance in a fun and immersive environment.

A selection of Craft workshops for teens and adults are also available, with more being added soon.

Do you want to get just a taste of Augusta after work? Sign up for an Evening Mini-Class to get 4 nights of instruction with a world-class instructor. If you get the event pass, too, you can join us for all of the week’s dances and concerts in the evening as well. You can sleep next week…

Blind Faith registration opens Dec 1, 2024; Classes announced Feb 1, 2025
