Blues & Old-Time Week (Summer Heritage Workshops 2025)
Immersive yourself in the deep traditions of acoustic blues and old-time string band music. This week, you can choose from a daytime schedule with classes offered in Blues music (guitar, harmonica, piano, vocals and ensemble classes) and in Old-Time music (fiddle, banjo, guitar, bass, mandolin, dance and singing). You have the freedom to create the perfect schedule for yourself from the offerings in both those genres. In addition, you can enjoy everything the week has to offer in the evenings, including concerts, dances, jams and more. With blues advisor Joan Fenton, and old-time advisor Becky Hill at the helm, this is sure to be an unforgettable week of music.
Folk Arts for Kids will give participants (ages 5 to 11) a chance to explore craft, nature, music and dance in a fun and immersive environment.
A selection of Craft workshops for teens and adults are also available, with more being added soon.
