Each class will hold an intentional meditation and soothing Vinyasa flow. We’ll explore the doshas & chakras during our opening and ending meditations with the intention that you will have more knowledge about your personal energetics and how to care for yourself more deeply on a mind, body, and spiritual level. Each yoga flow will be connected to that chakra and dosha we are exploring in our meditations. This yoga and meditation practice is open to all levels.
Absolutely needed for class: a yoga mat and water.
Additional items that would be nice for you to have: yoga blocks, strap, and blanket.
**Mini-classes are held Monday through Friday the week of programming. They may be taken in addition to daytime classes or on their own. Cost is $75.**
Instructor Bio
Yoga has been a part of my life since I was a teenager. I grew up with grandparents who have been a part of Buddhism culture for quite some time. Since I was a little girl I was encouraged to find my breath with my feet on the ground. I found yoga after some rough formative years where I dabbled in some darkness of our mainstream culture. Scared and traumatized, I started to seriously dedicate myself to my yoga mat around 17. Since that age there has hardly been a day that I’ve skipped coming to my mat; my sanctuary. I’ve traveled to many places in the United States to take classes from various teachers, learning from some of the best about different teaching techniques. When the pandemic hit, I decided that the best use of my time was to seriously dedicate myself to learning the ancient healing of yoga. I took a year to complete a 200-hour YTT and Mindful Living certificate with Yoga Farm Ithaca, studying with patience and care. Since then I’ve been teaching students privately and hosting community classes.
In addition to yoga, I’ve had the pleasure to study Ayurvedic and Traditional Chinese Medicine. This experience inspired my grandparents who are homesteaders; my grandma an herbalist, and my grandfather a deep woodsman. I continue my education in yoga and alternative medicines by always being a student; I visit some of the best healers in the Appalachian mountains often. This fall I’ll be continuing my education in Yoga and Ayurveda with Indra Yoga Institute for my 300-hour and another Ayurvedic Training.
