Stacy Kay | Teen Augusta | Week 3 (Full Day)

This class will be led by a team of workshop leaders so participants can dive into the Augusta experience and have a chance to dabble in old-time and blues music and dance. Participants will learn music and songwriting, play games, dive into traditional crafts, make a zine, hike the Monongahela Forest, and pick up some Appalachian cooking skills. These sessions are specifically designed for teens with varied interests. Participants will be encouraged to join Old-Time and Blues late afternoon electives and jams as well as evening events including lively jams, slow jams, song swaps, dances, and concerts. Parent supervision is required outside of workshop time.

This program will allow participants to explore many aspects of mountain culture and develop a taste for their favorites. The week is geared toward young adults ages 12 through 16
