Learn to make a quilted wall hanging! This workshop will focus on the traditional quilt square “Dresden Plate.” You will learn traditional quilting techniques, skills and aesthetics from seasoned teachers from the Elkins Sewing Center.

The workshop will take place Saturday, May 17, 2025. Hours are 10:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m (with a 1 hour lunch break). Your workshop fee will include all of your materials along with the use of a sewing machine and notions as needed.

Elkins Sewing Center has been providing quilting and sewing enthusiasts in the Elkins, WV, area with a wide variety of premium fabrics, high quality quilting products, and innovative sewing equipment since 1982.

Your purchase here is your tuition & materials for the quilting workshop with the Elkins Sewing Center staff.  As a participant in the quilting workshop, you also receive admission to the Saturday night guitar concert as part of the 2025 Flatpicking Guitar Weekend.

Cancellation Policy:  Your purchase includes the full program tuition & materials and a $10 non-refundable registration processing fee. Tuition costs (not including the $10 registration processing fee) are 95% refundable up to one month prior to the program. Between one month and one week before the event, tuition costs are 70% refundable. In the week leading up to the event, tuition costs are 45% refundable. Cancellations made after the start of the event, including no-call no-shows, are not eligible for a tuition refund. AHC reserves the right to evaluate all cancellations on an individual basis.
