Fiddle | Jane Vidrine | Beginning | Period 2 | Week 1 (July 6-11, 2025)
Students will learn how to play basic Cajun melodies and chordal seconding. Songs will be taught by ear. Students will learn to sing the song first, then learn the fiddle part by imitation. Song sheets from Lâche Pas: A Louisiana French Music Method will be provided. Jane and Luke will alternate days, enriching students’ experience with two different
teachers. This class is best for someone who has a bit of experience playing fiddle or playing Cajun music on another instrument.
