Augusta’s Lift Your Voice Community Choir is launching its 6th season in September 2024.
The choir will be directed by Emily Miller, with a guest workshop from the Zedashe Ensemble from the country of Georgia. The concert program will feature traditional vocal music from several exciting musical traditions around the world as well as those found right here in West Virginia. Singers will come away with a beautiful repertoire of new songs, a deeper understanding of the cultures they grew out of, and the lasting joy of singing together.
Rehearsals will take place on Tuesdays from 6-8 pm, starting September 17, with a concert on Saturday, December 14. This season, we will be rehearsing at the Randolph County Community Arts Center.
Singers of all levels, ages and vocal ranges are welcome to participate. The project is aimed at increasing opportunities for lifelong learning in the local community. Singers can learn more on the choir information page (link). Registration is on a sliding scale of $40 to $200 for the season, with singers choosing the level they can contribute.
Bring a water bottle, a recording device (like your phone!), and your vocal cords! We will provide the rest!
